If you read my blog you know I did a bit of shopping recently for inspiration and a way to create new looks for the blogs. So today is my comeback. It's nothing fancy... but it was a comfy outfit to wear hanging out with hubby. I hope this comeback is up to my previous DIVA standards... opinions? Next time I will take the pictures before I sit in the sweater and stretch it out... *smiles*

Sweet Spring Corals
What's the difference between coral and orange you say? Coral has a touch of pink or red hue. Let's not worry about that...let's just enjoy this vibrant color in our spring wardrobes. There's nothing like a splash of color to wake up the fashion senses.
I've had my eye on #3 for about two weeks now. I think I'm going to go and grab it before it's gone. And don't get me started on #5!! Love love love coral.
My golden rule: Don't let bright colors frighten you! Even if it's a pair of shoes or a rockin' handbag, wear it proud!

Fatbulously Frugal: Lord and Taylor - A Basement Affair
So, there’s this little store called Lord and Taylor...
Maybe you have heard of it? I used to shop there all the time. They had an awesome Plus Size department and some insane deals. Then I stopped. I am not really sure why, but I did. So, one day a friend of mine was looking for a cocktail dress and I remember getting some insane gowns and dresses there over the years for dirt cheap. In the dress/plus size department was something my eyes had never seen before. My heart skipped a beat and my friend and I launched into a full sprint. It was a huge clearance section. Everything in the store that was on last call was down there. I rummaged and grabbed. Each item has a colored dot on it and you check the dot for the coordinating discount. I got a Tadashi cocktail gown for $40. I kid you not. It fit like a glove. I had snagged some boot cut dark wash Calvin Klein jeans for $10. Calvin Klein also awarded me a sweater for the rummage for $4. Yes.. you are not reading it incorrectly. It was insane. The only stipulation, FINAL SALE. That was so not a problem when there were big inviting dressing rooms ready for me to pull on and off in. My advice, if you feel like rummaging, and bargain hunting.. go to your nearest Lord and Taylor and hit the basement. You may find your dream dress for pennies!

OOTD: Stiletto Siren - A Little Bit Rock N' Roll
So yes my black bomber finally arrived last week and it really was love at first sight. It is an absolute perfect fit, it is also quality made, and could pass for real leather even though it is 100% polyester, yep and that means MACHINE WASHABLE!!!!!!! This jacket is a great weight making it feel lush but still flexible and I’m absolutely smitten with it. Seriously I have been wearing it everyday it is so fab!
Today I decided to give my look a little bit of a rock n’ roll quality and paired the new love bomber (i really should name it any suggestions?) with one of my most comfortable dresses from Torrid. I picked the dress up during an online one 50% off all clearance and I think it was a steal at like $20. I love the 2 piece look this dress has even though it is one piece and who could turn down a grey and black plaid? This dress came with a corset belt but today I wanted a little bit more comfort and a bit of a looser look.
I am wearing black leggings from Target and my gray incredibly comfortable ankle boots from Payless. I love these shoes and also own them in black. They are great for work, school and are awesome for rainy days like we are having today. I also accessorized just a smidge with my peace sign necklace that I picked up at Torrid as well.

Curves & Chaos: Spring Trends - Geometric, Tribal and Ikat print
Don't be afraid of this daring spring trend. Geometric, tribal, and ikat are definitely the eye-attracting prints to wear this spring. If you're not into the much loved floral print, then this may be for you.
Any of the tops can be worn with a simple solid color legging or even a skinny jean. I have my eye on #2 and #11. I love the idea of a chic long layered necklace as an accessory. Or even a solid color skinny belt can add definition.
My golden rule: Try not to wear more than one style of print, no combining here! The print is already your bold statement piece.

- Next International Blue Global Print Layer Top

Curves & Chaos: Spring Trends - Safari
This safari spring trend is for the fashionista woman warrior.
Colors like camel, khaki, and Army green can be incorporated into any wardrobe. A simple white tee, tank, or blouse is key for bottoms. Tops go great with jeans.
Don't forget your accessories either. Canvas bags and wood adorned jewelry add an edge to any outfit. I can't forget the basketweave-inspired shoe. It's definitely on my shopping list...along with #5.
My golden rule: Be confident in whatever you wear. Remember, it's an urban jungle out there!

Fatbulously Frugal - Lane Bryant Edition
So, today I had some of my spies out shopping and the day went like this. The outlets were a bust. Macy’s was a bust. Nordstrom, a bust.. See a trend?
Success was found at Lane Bryant where they are having their gold dot sale. Icon pieces were down to practically nothing and that made the spies very happy!
Here are some items that they picked up...
Some of these goodies were on sale for $12.99 like I said, and the lovely ladies at Menlo Park Lane Bryant gave our spies a coupon also so their entire purchase came out to $50! I don’t know about you, but I think that is a super score!
Did any of you get awesome sales this week?
